A busy weekend for Kerschgens –
balancing customer loyalty and nurturing the next generation
26 May 2025
There was plenty going on at Kerschgens over the weekend of 16–18 May 2025 – the programme featured no fewer than two major events, at which we presented ourselves as a company that is visible, approachable and committed.
Kerschgens meets East Belgium – Personal exchanges
Our annual event ‘Kerschgens meets East Belgium’ took place for the sixth time – as usual, in the cosy atmosphere of the Ratskeller in St. Vith.
As hosts, we were delighted to welcome numerous customers from the region and not only to provide them with fascinating insights into our work, but above all to facilitate direct, face-to-face exchanges. In attendance were not only our customers’ managing directors, but also staff from their design and operations departments, who were there to engage in discussions, answer questions and foster personal relationships.
Our sales colleagues from Stolberg and Bitburg – Marcel Grendel, Manuel Krischel, Jens Nilles, André Schlösser, Pierre Schlüper, Gerd Thuir and Marc Wolfs – were there. We already know many of the customers personally, so we were delighted to take the opportunity to catch up, strike up conversations and continue our discussions on a familiar level.
This format offers our customers a special opportunity to get to know our team in person, to see the faces behind the projects and to gain a better understanding of who is responsible for what.
‘Future of Metal’ Information Day – For the skilled workers of tomorrow
On Sunday, Huppertz Stahl- und Apparatebau AG and New Laser AG opened their doors for the ‘Future of Metal’ Information Day, organised by the Studienkreis Schule & Wirtschaft Ostbelgien. Kerschgens was also represented here – once again in St. Vith, this time with a focus on job profiles and career opportunities in the metal industry.
Our team, led by Marcel Grendel and Marc Wolfs, presented Kerschgens at the event to inspire young people to pursue technical careers and to introduce our company. It was particularly pleasing to see that many of our customers were also in attendance – a sign of the great interest and close ties within the region. The Aachen Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) and ZAWM* Eupen, which regularly receives material donations from us, also took an active part.
Whether with our customers or potential young talent – face-to-face conversations, open dialogue and a physical presence on the ground are more important than ever. Especially in economically challenging times, such events send a strong signal: we remain in dialogue, demonstrate responsibility and invest in relationships.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone involved – for your dedication, commitment and two days full of valuable encounters!
