With the addition of Felix Herbort to the Management Board, effective April 1, 2021, the next generation of the owner families is preparing to take management responsibility and continue a growth strategy focused on sustainability and long-term success.
Even before enrolling in university to study business management, Felix Herbort spent nine months working for Schmolz & Bickenbach (known today as the Swiss Steel Group) in Milan to gain experience and get an in-depth look at the international steel market and its trade structures. After his studies in Reutlingen and Piacenza (Italy), he joined the Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) division of a large business consultancy in Baden-Württemberg, where he last worked as a project manager.
Together with the rest of the management team – Manfred Kerschgens, Heinz Herbort and Pierre Schlüper – he will actively shape Kerschgens’ transition to the next phase of its development and lead the company into the future.
