Successful completion of a degree with a practical focus: environmental management in the spotlight

We would like to offer our warmest congratulations to our colleague Dominik Garbrecht on successfully completing his Bachelor’s degree!
In July this year, he completed his degree with a practice-oriented thesis on the topic ‘The business management evaluation of ISO 14001 environmental management systems in medium-sized enterprises’.
Particularly noteworthy is the close link to real-world practice: through his role as environmental management officer at Kerschgens, Dominik was not only able to incorporate valuable experience into his academic work, but also to apply the insights gained directly to our day-to-day business operations.

Sustainability with economic added value
The thesis demonstrates that environmental management systems in accordance with ISO 14001 not only make an important contribution to environmental protection but can also offer business benefits to companies. As a result, the topic of sustainability continues to gain strategic importance, including for medium-sized enterprises.

We are particularly pleased that the findings of the thesis are being put to immediate use at Kerschgens. This is a successful example of how theory and practice can be meaningfully combined.
